New Boots!

While at the Sioux City Mall I saw these super cute John Deere boots displayed in the window of RCC Western World. We had to go into the store to check them out. Ryan tried the boots on and thought daddy would think these boots were so cool. Ryan just got cowboy boots for his birthday but I couldn't pass these up. Ryan says the new boots are for riding horses and the other boots are for doing "farm work". That works for me!

Aunt Lynn - your baby just about got the same John Deere boots but the infant bootie style. I decided there probably wasn't going to be an occasion for him to actually wear them while in Colorado.

Another little trip

Ryan and I (along with Jenn, Jack and Maddy) spent a few days in Sioux City this past week. Our friend, Theresa is currently living there. I hadn't seen her in over a year and hadn't seen her little boy Mason since he was a few days olds. I was really missing them so we went to visit.

We went shopping at the mall, played at Theresa's house a lot, went swimming and even got to go to the park for a couple hours. The weather was AWESOME! 65 degrees on Thursday!

LOVE this photo of Jack

Ryan pushing Jack at the park - I took Ryan and Jack to the park so Maddy and Mason could take a nice long nap. We had lots of fun. Both boys were so happy to play outside.

Ryan is teaching Mason his ABC's

Miss Maddy had to play with all the boys this week. She got a little knocked around but she is still happy as can be.

Can't forget the 2008 Easter Bunny Photo - the kids aren't smiling for the camera but they really did have fun. Mason didn't want the leave the huge bunny.

Yes! WARMER WEATHER!!! The thaw out has began which translates into a MUDDY MESS! I am not complaining though. I can handle the mud if it means warm weather.

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to Ryan's first Easter Egg Hunt for 2008. It was a lot of fun watching him hunt eggs with the other playgroup kids. He followed the directions, was very curtious of the younger kids, and found all of his eggs by himself. He immediately had to open his eggs. His comment was, "this is everything I was hoping for." Good deal! He received a few little candies, stickers, jelly beans, and bubbles. I really hope that we will be able to have an outside Easter egg hunt this year but it isn't looking to promising at this point. Check back because we have several fun Easter activities coming up in a couple weeks.

Some of the kids checking out the Easter Bunny. Ryan is in the picture but you can only see the side of his head. Thanks Grandma Mardi for allowing us to use the bunny costume up here. Lots of kids have enjoyed seeing the Easter Bunny.

Playdates

We have had several playdates during the last month. So I thought I would show a few pictures of Ryan playing with his friends. I didn't have my camera for every playdate so sorry for not including everyone. I will get ya next time ;)

I am desperate for Spring

I took myself (and Ryan) to the floral shop and picked out a nice vase full of spring flowers for the kitchen table. They are beautiful and smell so good! AAAAHHHH, a breath of fresh air. You wouldn't believe how fresh flowers can effect your mood. I can smell them as soon as I walk in the kitchen.

Winter Fun!

Might as well make the most of this painfully long Iowa winter.

Ben is burying Ry in the snow - you can barely see his head

There he is
