Lots of family in Washington for the weekend. We spent some time with my mom's family and some time with my dad's family which made it feel like we were pulled in many directions. Loved every minute of it.
Veronika met my cousin, Payton for the first time. They had a good time together. The time spent together was too short though.

We also had family visiting from Kentucky. We spent the morning at the park. A little chilly but it didn't bother the kids.

Meet our new addition: STELLA! She is 9 weeks old. Cute as a button. Stella is half Shih Tzu and half poodle. She will stay pretty little. Only suppose to get to about 10 lbs. She is primarily Veronika's dog. She will be taking on most of the responsibility. Veronika has been doing very well in school and is making amazing progress so Stella is her reward. We did not tell Veronika that we were going to get a puppy. You can imagine her excitement when we walked in the door with Stella.
Roland-Story goes to the State Tournament! I am a big believer in creating a sense of pride for our school system. So off to the girls state basketball tournament we go. R-S won the first round game but lost the second round game. Nice try. I hadn't been to the state tournaments since high school. Brought make many memories. I hope Veronika created a few memories of her own.

I LOVE OUR FRIEND WEEKENDS!! This year we went to the Amana Colonies and stayed at Wasserbahn Waterpark Hotel. The kids played in the water all weekend. We did take a little break and headed to Iowa City for a few hours. We went to the Children's Museum and out to eat then back to the hotel for more water. We had a great weekend because we have GREAT friends.
